Racism can feel like...

Racism can feel like a scary word

Talking about IT can feel taboo
Asking questions about racism can feel wrong
Sharing your thoughts can make you sound like a bad person, even when your are just learning
It would be nice to have a place...

Where you could learn more about race

Where you could ask questions and know you will receive an answer without shame or guild

Where you could be surrounded by community who wants to learn, just like you

Where you could experience some fo the powerful ways race impacts your life

Where you walk away a better person than when you started

Learn with Dr. Marcie and Gary because...

They are fun and amazing and you will learn all sorts of things!

Individually, they understand that we are all human and have created a space to learn in their humanness. To stumble through the process and have a helping hand getting back up. Together we will unpack it all with love and compassion. No shame, blame or pushback here.
They both have immense amounts of knowledge. Lived knowledge and academic knowledge.
They have very different perspectives, that compliment each other. It is a powerful balance of privilege, race and lived experiences between them.
They are facilitators who will hold space to all magic to happen that will transform your life.
They have created a community of like minded people. Come, be part of the community!

Desire of Course
Our outcome is to design a space for people to do the work to get open and vulnerable, and feel comfortable being really uncomfortable, and that allows you  to look at the amazing things you’ve already done to facilitate equality, to bring in better relations where you have stood up for yourselves or others who needed it. We want you to leave this course a better person that makes the world a better place than when you started.
